Cappuccino Cappuccino is a coffee-based drink prepared with espresso,hot milk and steamed-milk foam. The foam on top of the cappuccino acts as an insulator and helps retain the heat of the liquid, allowing it to stay hotter longer. Ingredients 7.5 - 8.5 g (0,26 - 0,3 oz) of finely ground coffee beans (espresso roast) 25 - 30 ml (0,85 - 1,01 oz) of hot water (90° - 95°C) (194° – 203° F) 100-150 ml (3,38 - 5,07 oz) of milk Preparation Put the espresso into the cup while steaming the cold milk. Heat the milk, but not above 65° C /149 °F, than pours the hot foamed milk into the cup. Material A cappuccino is traditionally served in a pocelain cup, which has farbetter heat-retention characteristics than glass or paper.
